Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Specialist will oversee the end-to-end supply chain operations to ensure efficient inventory management, timely product delivery, and alignment with company objectives. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective coordination with internal teams and suppliers, and a proactive approach to optimizing inventory and supply chain processes across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Monitoring & Management
- Regularly evaluate inventory levels across warehouses and stores to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
- Identify surplus inventory and recommend actionable strategies for redistribution or clearance.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of major supplier catalogs and digitize all records for seamless access.
- Ensure all products are displayed with sale pricing and special displays for high-volume items in all stores.
- Supplier Coordination and Cost Analysis
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products with valid expiration dates.
- Analyze product costs between direct store delivery (DSD) and centralized warehousing to support cost optimization.
- Communicate product updates and new arrivals to all store managers.
- Logistics and Distribution
- Plan and manage the efficient transportation of goods from suppliers to warehouses and stores.
- Oversee the distribution of promotional and seasonal products, ensuring they are available across all stores on time
- Flyer and Promotional Oversight
- Review and coordinate the inclusion of Three Dolphins warehouse products in weekly promotional flyers.
- Check the availability of advertised products in stores to align with the 88 Supermarket flyer.
- Ensure promotional items are prominently displayed with appropriate pricing in all locations.
- Check major competition flyers and suggest new items for inclusion based on market trends.
- Operational Collaboration
- Work closely with the Warehouse Operation manager and department directors to align supply chain operations with company goals.
- Liaise with the Warehouse Operation manager to confirm adequate storage capacity for incoming products.
- Coordinate with the buying team to ensure efficient ordering and product delivery for in-store availability.
- Maintain ongoing communication with all department managers regarding new products, pricing updates, and promotions.
- Store Visits and Compliance Checks
- Conduct weekly visits to store locations to verify compliance with inventory standards, promotional displays, and product availability.
- Monitor product movement reports to ensure essential stock is consistently maintained.
- Send reminders to respective managers about expiring products to facilitate quick movement and minimize losses.
- Ensure products are displayed with appropriate pricing, special displays, and significant visibility in-store for high-volume items.
- Implementation and training
- Oversee the implementation of new tools, including the ordering app, across all locations. Manage the initial setup and ongoing maintenance of the ordering app.
- Provide training and ongoing support for inventory software and day-to-day operations.
- Implement regular training sessions for store staff and managers on the new ordering app and other tools.
- Supervise and train inventory administrators to ensure the accurate management of all stock.
8 . Compliance and Risk Management
- Proactively address potential risks, such as stock shortages, supplier delays, or quality issues, to minimize disruptions.
- Regularly review and update supply chain processes to reflect changes in business needs or external factors.
Working Conditions:
– Flexibility: This role requires adaptability to work during various shifts, including weekends, to meet operational needs.
– Travel: Regular travel between store locations and warehouses is required for inspections and coordination.
– Environment: Work is primarily conducted in office settings, stores, and warehouse environments, which may involve prolonged periods of walking and standing.
– Physical Requirements: May involve lifting and moving items during store visits or inventory inspections.

- Adaptability: Flexibility to work in dynamic environments and adjust strategies based on changing business needs.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in supply chain management, inventory management, or logistics.
- Experience in working with suppliers and managing cost analysis.
- Familiarity with retail and warehouse operations, ideally within the food or grocery industry.
- Relevant experience in LBoss is a plus.
