The lululemon Liaison Office (LLO) team is dedicated to ensuring our products are produced of the highest quality, delivered when we need them, and manufactured with partners who share our commitment to elevating the world. Our merchandising teams work closely with vendor partners and internal teams to drive product excellence, manage costs, and build positive relationships cross-functionally.
a day in the life
- Support and manage pre-bulk activities from costing to production (End to End)
- Analyze costing submissions and validate cost breakdown. Negotiate costs to meet standards or like for like styles. Ensure vendor is adhering to costing
- Input Costing data input and manage costing reports
- Manage the BUY (order placement) and negotiate the best delivery with vendors
- Analyze the capacity and capability of vendors to make sure they can deliver the quality products on time
- Take the lead in resolving any potential and current issues with a cross-functional team to minimize the impact and manage on-time delivery
- Manage production process – WIP, PO, and labelling
- Work closely with our local and global quality teams to ensure that our social compliance and quality standards are adhered to, and goals are met, and communicate delivery statuses and issues to appropriate Lulu partners in a timely and concise manner
- Manage the shipment booking and shipping process with vendors
- Visit factories as required
qualifications
- Your ideal background: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Textiles or related fields
- 7+ years’ experience in a similar role within merchandising environment
- Strong knowledge of technical fabrics, garment construction and related machinery
- Experience in working directly with global vendors
- Able to do pre-costing
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, you possess amazing MS Excel skills! (V Lookup and Pivot Table knowledge essential)
- Experience working on PLM and PO systems like Flex PLM and Tradestone
